blairsville,pa | Here's another thing that nobody wants to realize but it's truth. We don't really need that many more farmers with the way equipment keeps getting bigger. Think about it, if a neighborhood had 10 1000 acre farms and 1, 2, 4 of them retired/quit/went under you don't think the remaining 6 or 8 guys could absorb an extra couple acres?
Believe me nobody is fonder than me of slower times, 200 acres, and a 4020 getting it done and making a living. But it seems pretty distant in the rear view now. We don't have to like it but we do have to adapt to it. If you're not moving foward you're getting pushed out of the way wether you realize it or not... just my opinion, fwiw | |
