Subject: RE: Beans and China

S Illinois
Yea China cancelling soybeans in Feb and March caused us to reach a double peak in the late March and again in April along with another high in July all of the while staying above the price when China started cancelling beans in Feb. It didn't have anything to with the fact that spring/summer 2004 was possibly the greatest growing season ever in the US.********. We added 250 million bu in production from the May 2004 WASDE to the final. Its only when the crop ratings and by extension expected production expectations soared did the price tank. China like normal did nothing from April 2004 on concerning US exports.
