From most of the replies I have read, I would be considered a raging bull. I'm not very good at price prediction but I see little corelation to the '80's. Demand is too strong across the grain complex. Corn after back to back years of record production will see stocks to use sub 10% this year. Any time there is a stumble in global grain production, prices will spike. I would never advocate anything but modest leverage but I don't see the bottom falling out of farmland prices.
FWIW I don't believe in 30 year cycles and the like. Markets and life are far too messy to be that predictable.
