German Hubertus are one of the best,conventional top load-about $2k for washer-dryer commercial quality......front loads with water savers just don't/can't clean farm work clothes good enough.....as per gift: really no different than buying a man a welder , depending on couple,finances,ect. nothing wrong with practical gifts
