Just bought one of the new SpeedQueens. $900 with a 15 year transmission, 3 year full warranty. Life expectancy of 20+ years. The Maytag we have just gave it up and it is 24 years old. This one looks like it is just as good with a full stainless drum.
Also on the advice: If it plugs in the wall, it is not a gift. Just our rules (tools excluded!)
