Subject: Cold Snap coming.. HRW Wheat not looking good.

I got a lot of flak for this.. but WE DO HAVE a STORM on the way.. with Wheat here.. not fully emerged.. LAST YEAR we suffered WINTERKILL as a front came through.. granted it took it from 70 degrees to 14 in about 36 hours.. but we are NOT AS FAR ALONG on Emergence This year vs LAST YEAR!!!

This thing is a train wreck waiting to happen.. currently I got about a 50% stand.. and there are guys still drilling as we were delayed on moisture.. we are about 7" below NORMAL on precip.. Dry and COLD is NOT a good outlook..

flame away...

for the record.. I beat my drum last year on low wheat prospects.. the WASDE is currently BELOW those projections.. so for all the flak I get on this.. and I'm RIGHT.. sheesh...

WASDE.. ( http://www.usda.gov/oce/commodity/wasde/latest.pdf )  2,056 myn bushels...  a lot of which was drowned out at harvest.. see SRW rally.

Other than SW Ks and the panhandles.. the plains wheat crop.. SC.. NC.. NW Ks.. and other places is "rough" looking if even emerged right now.
