Von, great photos & cleanup jobs. You have to know there seems to be 2 lines of thoughts on power washing combines. One says clean it up like you & lots of other folks do in the fall, the other says that bearings & chains will rust while it sits until next season, so they don't wash. Not sure which is correct. I'm assuming you haven't had a lot of bearings mysteriously go out or you'd say so. I think they suggest the water will sit in the bottom of the races & rust. I'm not sure about that...it's just something I hear. Re. soap in the foam cannon. We change soaps depending on the job. We use a "Hotsy" branded soap for general equipment cleaning. If we're washing trucks or restored tractors or other vehicles, then we use whatever car/truck wash product is on sale @ Farm & Fleet. Pour it right out of the jug into the foamer. The vehicle washes have some kind of wax in them & some kinda stuff to make them smell good. For anyone wanting to put the final finishing touches on something like tractors or Von's truck, take a look at a "Spot-Less" water system. They are portable deionizing systems. Garden hose in, garden hose out & you have pure d-I water. You have to change the filtration product occasionally however. Not too hard of a job. Same kind of deal the car washes use on the "rinse" cycles. No more spotting when dry. We've had one for a few years now.
