I have a 1370 and always wondered what happens if you do stationary pto work with it in reverse. Can you tell me? Does your pto kick into gear with a bang? No matter how slow I move the lever, it goes into gear with a bang.

There is a shaft that runs real fast while in reverse, you can hear it when in neutral and leave it in reverse. It doesnt get oiled or enough oil not sure which. Just don't leave an old case in reverse inless you are backing up.
I don't think it has anything to do with the pto running, its just being in reverse that does it.
