FYI - I quit for 10 years when the kids were little and started back at 49. I have a buddy who I trained 30 years ago who at age 74 holds the Iowa state bench press record of 280# for 65 and older.
Also, you would be amazed at what I can eat because I work out. A win/win for me as I am a competitive eater.
One last thing, I take the spring and fall off to farm so I only work out 8 months out of the year. My workout take about an hour...... Hit it hard and let it rest. Working smarter, not harder.
Now get off your butt and work out with your hot girlfriend!!!! If nothing else chase her around the table.
