Southern Alberta Canada | There's a minimum and then the sky's the limit. I would be careful though because if you get too elaborate it's possible to create opportunities for liability you didn't intend. Things like distractions or mistaken identity maybe, whatever the prosecuting party can conjure up.
Personally I would find out the minimums then go from there. Things like lights front and back on both sides, beacon or two, signal lights maybe.
Remember, what you install you should maintain. It's better to have the minimum working properly then an elaborate system that doesn't.
