WCMO-SWMO Area | Crop share will work great when people are honest and are great farmers.......The latest one I heard was that the share rent land owner thought that things weren't right and hadn't been right for awhile......He went to the field just as the renter finished the field....The renter told him that the last of your corn is on the semi headed to the elevator.....He said then you won't mind me looking in the 1000 bu grain cart that was just leaving the field and he found it over half full.....Over the years I've heard of every trick in the book thats been pulled on share rent..Some amaze you..
Share rent goes back to trust and whom is the best farmer and whom is 100% honest.....The only worry about cash rent is if the renter will write the check every year....Some large cash rent farmers might not cut it on share rent....Lots to think about..
