Subject: RE: Equal pricing vs Equitable Pricing

Frytown, Iowa
You must still be making lots of money... When the coop is making $80/ac off your ground from fert, chems, N, seed, and custom rates...and you are losing $40/ac will you still be as happy?

I have heard yields form other areas that are hurting in yield... I know my numbers don't work at those yields... I also know it could be me next year...

If you have ever compared Target prices to Walmart... Even just one source can make a difference in you making money next year or not. I'm a STO as well... But that shouldn't mean I lose money so that 3000 ac farmer can roll in the dough.

Really I don't think size has anything to do with pricing... It's just that if you got big you probably did it by being more aggressive in everything from shopping around in inputs to grain bids, rents to buying from those wanting to retire...

Sitting around and taking what comes to you wont get you more acres nor will it get you a better input price... That in my opinion is the only difference.
