waterloo iowa | Back 40 years ago There was a co-op in the middle of nowhere that had no rail service but somehow could out bid co-ops that were closer to processors and had rail.I know there were times that the price that strangers from 10-15 miles away got was a dime more than those who lived in the shadow of the elevator. We used to call there if they had a good market would drop off a load of corn then go to a nearby sale barn and try to buy a few calves, got paid for the fuel at least. | |
