"Very little US oil is OPEC." Since when is 80 million barrels of oil a month from OPEC, very little oil?
Holy smokes, big oil has turned the talking points like the "US is the biggest supplier of oil to itself these days" into something that sounds impressive. What if you said instead we import 30-40 percent of our oil from foreign countries? Does that sound impressive?
If we said about food that we are the biggest supplier of food to ourselves in the US, but we imported 30-40 percent of our food, the food production industry would be ridiculed. Not big oil.
