Fishguts2 - 10/29/2015 22:30 I really think that this bear will restructure rents to a profitable level eventually

Do you have a guess as to how long that eventually will be? A year or two ago I was thinking that things would happen faster this time around with a down turn. I figured there was less land owned by farmers and a bigger share of the land was being rented so things would change faster. The average downturn in farmland takes about 6 years and now I am worried that the 6 years could be pretty close this time too. It seems like we have already had a couple of years of the downturn and things are not changing near as fast as I had thought they would. In our area we had a very good year in 2012 and I think the farmers are going to spend all the money they made before they will consider trying to lower their rent.
