You are dead on right--- the government has the leverage, but..........leverage has to have a fulcrum to work and we in agriculture allow ourselves to be the fulcrum for the leverage to work by taking AG subsidy welfare, Without the welfare fulcrum ( producers ), government is just a big stick lying flat on the ground without the power to lift anything.
