Why would the taxes kill me? Yes, I've reduced my interest expenses considerably but using interest as a tax management tool would not be a smart management plan. There are many other ways to manage tax liabilities that give you a benefit including prepaying expenses, purchasing assets that depreciate, and/or deferring income. Deferring income is my least favorite way as it gives others free use of your money and also creates potential collectibility issues.
