Soldiers Grove Wi. 54655
Tara Farms - 10/28/2015 20:27

was cut the amount that the insurers were guaranteed to make from around 15% to 10% ( these are round numbers)

It must be tough to be subsidized by the American taxpayer for a locked in return of 10% in a zero interest rate environment.

and the best thing is they got the American farmer to do their bidding for them.

even the misguided and incorrect threat of weaning the American farmer from the Govt. teet brings on all the full volley of the American farmer.

Until this My government payment is not welfare mentality ends it matters not 1 iota who is elected to any office.

Can I ask if you are a grain farmer? A dairy farmer, a beef grower, etc. or a paper trader? The next thing I'd like to ask is what is fair in our markets today?? As far as our manipulated market we deal with daily was it fair the govt. uses us and plays us like they just did with all the beef producers in the past couple months, like they have done for years with casein imports and the Dairy Farmers, Like they pulled with the tobacco imports and trades over the years before the buyout, or like they did when Carter pulled the grain embargo on Russia dropping our prices and throwing the agricultural community into the toilet for years? I get so tired of people saying the farmer is collecting welfare with farm programs over the years when in fact we've been getting the shaft so many times by our own govt. that something needs to be done before all the smaller farmers are gone.. As far as that goes many of the larger farms will be put at risk too someday but wait and see as there will be a major bail out before the mega farms start dropping.

The day the govt. quits using the farmer as a pawn and manipulating our markets is the day I say we wean the American farmer off the Govt.s teet completely.... Please tell me when that day will be... The people I hear talking about the farmers collecting welfare are usually non active farmers sitting in the coffee shop that have no risk and are safe in their 401Ks or have inherited their land.. Basically the people who preach this are those who are actually removed a few generations (in some cases just one) from working the the land and taking the risk of disaster or crop loss. It used to be people were proud to know and support American farmers or proud to be and American farmer but now days in America there is more disdain and hate towards the American farmer and a lot of it comes from other farmers... :(
