How Ducks Unlimited and Pheasants Forever have muscled their way into the NRCS office is an absolute disgrace to the agency. This is an Agency that has gone from increasing farm productivity to an agency of regulatory control and oversight that strangles production. I hope the below quote from Ronald Reagan isn't what agriculture has become.......

1. “Government’s view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it.”

EDIT----How the wildlife groups have muscled into the NRCS is a PERFECT example of how the direction of the wind has changed when it comes to how AG policy is generated.....
