NWPA | I assume it was corn but could be 30 inch beans I guess. Don't know if they popular in your area. How did that corn do? I am curious... I have planted before when it wasn't fit and had a bomb and also have been pleasantly surprised.
Did you just end up with a claim on the back end at harvest? Or do you not get insurance at all?
As far as insurance and other programs. They can toss them all out for all I care. But I won't let my competition get that much of a leg up on me for pride reasons.
For those that just stick thier nose up to all programs you must fall into one or more of a few categories.

Daddy money
No real competition in area
Best farmer by far in area
Luckiest sob in area
Other businesses financing farm
To small to matter
Wife with money
Lottery winner
Animal based operation
Now some of these are in fun and some are prob true for alot more people than will admit.( see how uncovered myself with best farmer in area). That way I don't offend to many as they can chose that option.
Now I have some animals a wife that works and I consider myself lucky. I also do other stuff on the side. So I am one of the worst farmers in the area I guess.
