The question I had was what was the insurance level taken out? From a purely income for the year standpoint, mud planting around always wins out no matter what. Collection of 75-85% of the guarantee on the back end in the fall is far more lucrative than collecting 60% from PP along with the fact that there is no HPO with PP. Agronomically speaking probably not the best, but if one wanted to use insurance to the fullest, dragging a planter through the field to call something planted is much better than letting it sit idle. that is not necessarily true. Insurance falls after the planting date remember so your percentages are not accurate. |
