A hedge is a commitment. Once I sell I stick with it til the grain changes ownership. The more you lift your hedge, the more chance you have of being wrong. If in case you want to lift your hedge ask yourself one question. Am I lifting at the high or low of where said commodity has been as of late. If your lifting after its already moved higher, your setting yourself up to be wrong. We as grain farmers and cattle feeders always get more bullish at the top.
