I received a phone call from a buyer that I have a very good relationship with. I had been stressing to him that I'd like him to at least make an offer for a new crop contract. It wasn't super-purdy, though I thanked him for at least giving me the call and giving me the option. The number he gave me would require at least 26bags to breakeven, so... that's not a particularly comfortable place to be starting.
If you don't mind me asking, what was he offering? I don't even know if I want to really know, but I guess we'll have to find out eventually. Thank goodness we still have the 3rd year of some 3 years contracts for next year to help soften the blow. | |
