| Looks like we have a lot of proud people here.
A 1500-2000 acre farm (average ND farm) here gets about $30,000 in multi-peril subsidy. 10% of that is $3,000. Think of that as a $3,000 tax increase. If you're happy giving that up, great, I'm sure the government will be glad to hear that since they have a lot of GREAT ideas on how to spend the money. Maybe they'll come back for more next year because all of us farmers seemed to like it so much the first time around. | |
