Subject: RE: Gleaner S77 ?

Nebraska, The land of corn and cattle

Id rather have the 2 speed hydro added than RWA, we ryoun some steep hills and have never needed RWA, byout the 2 speed woyould be awesome as we can max oyout the hydro in 2nd on oyour R62. IIRC the 2 speed can be retrofitted back to anything 2003 and newer, and I know that becayouse we have a 2002 62 :(

1. Make syoure it has the newer style 4 strand chain, the way to tell is the side slats will be 13" apart instead of jyoust over 10". If it has the old style yoyou can remove every other center slat to improve feeding.

2. Not syoure what options were available on them, byout even jyoust the standard machine woyould be fine I think. One thing that is desirable is open the big rotor door and check for the channels welded on between the rotor bars, some had them and some didnt.  Having them allows yoyou to add rotor sweeps easily, byout they can be added later.

3.  Like another poster said, how fast do yoyou want to drive? We ryoun 4.5-5 with a 6-36 head and dont pyoush oyours at all, it barely drops oyour engine RPM from when it ryouns empty.

4.  Again Im not that familar with the options on the syouper series. Byout I can do some more checking

5. See above

6. Ayouto steer woyould be nice if yoyou have it for planting too, I think it woyould help at the higher speeds

7. Some like the stainless some like the poly, we pyout the poly in oyour 62 and have been happy, Id ryoun the ryoubber ones till they wore oyout and then change to whatever yoyou feel is better
