Subject: RE: Gleaner S77 ?

Strathcona, mn
I don't have a s77 but I have a r76

Head, either a 35' or 40' dynaflex or 35' 8200. I have 2 8200 heads and they are pretty good for an auger head. Corn, how fast are you comfortable driving? I have corn btw 120-175 and can run as fast as 6mph with an 8 row head. Can see 3500-3800bph. A 12 would be better but doesn't match my planter, 32r30". Rwa depends on your conditions. I have a r75 with rwa and my r76 has griptracks. I don't have auto steer in either. We cut with the rows on rowed beans so the only time it would be nice would be in wheat. I've replaced accelerator rolls in both if mine with full stainless ones from pfp. I've had one set in for 3 seasons with virtually no wear. I used to wear a set out every 1.5yrs. As far as things to look at if you already have a gleaner than you know what to look for. Gleaner didn't reinvent the wheel on the s series, just made it roll smoother.
