NW Iowa. / SW Arizona | Four weeks ago right before harvest and after a lot of rain in August amd September I made the comment I hope it doesn't rain until spring. I've changed my tune since then, despite all the wet spots that still exist in a lot of fields around here locally I would like to see it rain just to settle the dust and top soil. Amazing how much it can dry out in a short time frame like we've had this fall. Still have plenty of subsoil,,,,,for now :-). It sure made me nervous this fall combining corn on those hot and windy days, actually was kind of surprised I didn't hear of more combine fires then I have.
