Ben, is the "chatter clutch" on the clean grain drive slipping and letting you know that's the case? Is there any plugging of the clean grain flow at the elevator boot? Did the shaft break when the grain tank was mostly full (so the bin auger was pushing against the load) or when the tank was just filling and no load on the auger?

I'm just thinking that if it's a matter of stress from a weak bin fill auger you ought to be fighting the clean grain system constantly and spending a lot of time getting it unplugged.
