Subject: Land Prices

N.W. Ohio
I didn't really know where to put this but I have a question.

I am 26 and possible at the end of next year have chance to buy my first 40 acres. My father and grandfather own ground already that we farm but I able to get my own first 40.

I was wondering what was you guys tactics or thoughts on how much you should pay per acre of land. How many years after you buy it should it pay for itself. This one is close to our homestead so
I will be paying more just for location but when is it just to much and can't justify it because the return isn't there. Was just wondering your guys inputs. We currently farm this field and we are averageing 50 bushel beans on it every year.
so it is a good producing little field.

Thanks
