I think this is a problem in the home and schools. Parents don't teach children about hard work and pride. and the schools preach to never get your hands dirty.


Interesting timing on your thread. Recently I stopped by the home of an acquaintance. She's in her 80's and was out enjoying yard work in the front of her place. During our conversation she mentioned meeting young couples at her church and how they questioned her about her working outside. They talked as though it was strange and foreign to do yard work and have a garden.
