Wisconsin | Not taking side but if there was no crop insurance or safety nets, young farmers or low equity farmers had better start looking for an outside investor as banks no longer would finance these farmers if there was no safety net. Then you have to ask the the ones with equity if they are willing to burn it all up on a bad crop or low prices. Take take the poultry and hog industry with no government safety nets are mostly gone to the big investor type farmers. The same thing could happen to all of agriculture. Either you can be a serf or one of the minority nobles! | |
