I don't know if anyone has said this yet, but most banks require multi peril crop insurance if u want to borrow money. If this was privatized, my concern is that it would be so high it would be cost prohibitive to even farm. i borrowed money for many years with no crop insurance. Never once have I been asked to take out crop insurance in 15 years. |
