Subject: Young farmer starting out looking for advice

I'm 17 years old. My family(my dad, my two aunts and my uncle) own 345 acres. But 290 acres are separate from the other 54 acres. My dad and my uncle used to farm it years ago, the 290 acres was in a trust until the 2016 crop year. The 54 acres is seperate. I want to farm the 54 acres myself because that's all my dad can afford in inputs. We are renting the other 290 acres out. Should I just have my dad pay the inputs without a loan and have somebody custom farm it. Or should I with my dads say buy a tractor and a field cultivator and get a loan for my inputs. I also do plan on running the whole farm in a few years if everything works out.
