If he is qualified to run it by all means bring him in. At 57 you are at the right age to begin the transition. To get it in it realistically takes 7 to 10 years to totally get him financially in and it requires the farm be profitable. If it is a wash or loosing money your only option is just give it too him and that screws up your retirement plans. If you do not do it you will regret it for the rest of your life.
