With a normal crop in 16 the real pain will start in the fall winter of 16. When the devaluations of 35 to 40% of your equity in land and equipment hits you. Its coming. Any of us that farmed thru the 80's and survived can see it coming. Its been coming for the last 3 years but drought down south and west just prolonged it that much longer. This time it will be the big guys that are deep in that will get cut first not like in the 80's when the examiners told the bank to cut some of their under performing loans. Well guess who they cut. It was the guys that they could liquidate and not take a loss on. They kept the really deep in guys because they didn't want to show the loss on the books. They are very much protected with profits this time and they will shut the big losses of first this time. Its a much bigger dollar game this time.

What is a normal crop?
