North Central Iowa | They are pretty much trying to copy the New Holland design. It has been running for 3 years up around New Hampton Iowa. They only would take it out at night and kept it locked in a shed during the daylight hours. I think Deere understands that the single rotor design has hit its limit. You can put a bigger rotor in but the overall height of the machine gets them in trouble. So by running 2 rotors you keep the machine lower and you also use the width of the feeder throat better by keeping the mat of material wider and thinner. Need the width of the throat for strength to control the torque of the head from side to side. | |
