NS Canada | I do a lot of single strand poly. This time of year (calves are bigger and trained) I hang it just under my hip socket and posts at about 25' likely. It sags some in the middle but no less than mid thigh.
Bulb is simple enough, one end on the fence the other in the dirt.. But it may lug the fence down a lot. I think they make lights that hang on the wire as well.
