North Central Illinois
So is it your position that the average corn yield in Illinois in 1975 was 300 bpa? Yes, someone managed to do that on a very small scale but nobody was able to do it on a widespread basis until very recently. I don't have the time right now to go back and look at what the average was for Illinois in 1975 but I'll bet it wasn't much over 100 bpa. Now we push 200 for a state average. I'm sure your grandfather was probably averaging close to a hundred 40 years ago. Last year Missouri had a lot of corn in the 230 area. This all sounds like an increase to me. I'm well aware of your thoughts on weather and yield ceilings as it relates to your peak corn fantasy. Face it Justin, the last three years have blown your theory right out of the water. Plenty of weather woes the last three years and we still bang out huge crops. You can keep spinning and evading questions but you can't change facts.
