Get real. What was the average yield for Illinois 40 years ago? As usual you are going to once again miss the size of this corn crop by a billion bushels. Congrats.

40 years ago corn was banging over 300 in IL
We haven't done much to raise the yield ceiling. It's always been high. We have just raised the floor a bit and I would say that's about done too
Weather rules at this point and 2014 is the top of the hill for total production. As long as we are planting at least 85M acres of corn its average will stand for a long time too
If trendline is what we really are supposed to be using then why does it change every year. If you look at trendline changes over different periods of time it's getting flatter and flatter
And one more thing. As the EPA slowly strangles is with regulation yields will suffer
