NC Iowa | Thanks for the detailed pictures and description. Looks like complete dissasembly is quite a complicated project. I have the new belt on now and plan on greasing it in accordance with the new procedure i recently was made aware of. Hope that is good enough for now. I am the third owner of this machine. It is.possible that the mechanism was never lubricated properly, even though is was taken in for preharvest readiness every year by the previous owner.

i see in a previous post, i mentioned that is something i would check. guess i plum forgot, as i got bogged down with replacing concave, bars and grain tank bottom augers. i guess i will have to start using sticky notes to remind me of things i intend to do.
