NC Iowa | in the process of replacing the belt. the old one shredded and wrapped. i disconnected the hose and got the top sheave spread to get the belt fragments out. the lower one is what i am having trouble with. can't seem to spread it with a bar. it is spring loaded so don't want to mess with unbolting anything until i know how to do it.
to install new belt, it looks like the top cylinder comes out and the the outer sheave, and slips right in. right? anything special i need to know about?
the replacement belt part number is subbed to a 'heavy duty' one. the old belt looked good, but maybe i ran a green bunch in and it overloaded the belt. never had that happen before.
thanks. | |
