Even though those real estate sales deals seem like a great gig.............keep in mind they are all about convincing the owner to list with you. It is a pretty tough sale so being a great salesman is key. Somehow they have to convince the seller that they can make more money for the land owner even after paying the commission than the owner can get by selling it themselves..........or at least take the burden off of them for a reasonable fee. That is where the true work lies. Some of these established real estate agents are just like established farmers. It took years and years of hard work to now make the easy money. It would be a very tough business to break into as a rookie. Like others have stated on here...........I'm not all that impressed with a lot of these agents..........but I have had a sales job and every now and then you make big bucks.........but there can be a lot of drought in between. Tough job unless you are really gifted.
