Red River Valley | In the non-traditional ways again this year and most likely will move that way much quicker than in 2012.
before 2012 I would venture to guess it had been maybe 30 years since corn from my area moved to the northeast and southeast. As you can well imagine there was most likely nobody employed on either end of these deals that had been around the last time it happened if it every happened.
So just getting the parties together to a great deal of time let alone then trying to get the infrastructure in place to move the Grain. my guess would be that you might have wasted a 2-3 months of time getting this all done. This year the contact have been made and the logistics are already in place for this to happen I would guess that by early Jan. we will be hearing corn from my area moving to your area.
As for the Southeast well we already know at what price corn will be brought into that area by boat. and I suspect we will find out what price moves corn into the Texas feedlots by spring.
These are things that price run-ups always cure.
