Death comes to us all. Life's but a walking shadow | I did a quick check of some semen companies and apparently A2A2 bulls are available and easy to generate with similar milk production genetics. Given that the average number of lactations today is 1.5 the turnover in cows is pretty fast (4yrs) you can convert an entire herd from A1 to A2A2 quickly. I suspect that within just a few years A2A2 milk will be widely available, enough parents will use it exclusively for babies and since autism is expressed early in life (by age 4 or so) we'll have more than enough population data to determine whether there's anything to the idea soon.
Of course there is already a way to answer this question. More than enough women brestfeed their babies. It should be quite simple to survey the population and determine whether the incidence of autism is higher in formula-fed children vs breastfed children. |
