NCND | Sat update for further clarification. Talked with GM today after our earlier forum here. Our coop actually sold some freight today that was intended for beans and made a nice profit. Not many beans in yet and they had freight booked while others were looking. Nice little day trade you could call it. Plenty more freight coming so they took advantage.
Wheat pop was due to very little farmer selling. I think our outfit here makes a decent margin and they can cut basis like that and still make good coin. Agree or disagree with that it is what it is. CHS in minot still has poorer basis on wheat.
Had a meeting other day and YOY we have handled same bushels here for wheat during harvest. Whatever that means. Just what the situation is here.
I have about 80% of my beans on htas and I tried to get a nickel out of them and they said no. Dang it! I can't remember off hand what basis was on my cash sales but I think -90. Oops.
