Subject: I've got some rookie questions

1. What causes the spring to be the "typical" best time of year to sell? Always heard that but don't know reasoning.

2. Common knowledge such as this would actually make it invalid, correct? I mean if the market is flooded with sellers in a particular time of year, wouldn't the bears be the ones in control?

3. What REALLY drives the markets? Is it fundentals s&d etc or is it mostly computers looking at charts and kicking in positions (and the net affect of all these speculators)?

I know these are basic questions but as someone who needs every inch of profit per bushel this year I need to examine what I'm doing. Thanks for any help guys
