How will that help to see equity being burned in the rural economy. Some Bears think it is a crime to make a profit in farming. Farmers need to make a living too.
I agree completely. The problem is that if grain prices do go up (a lot), so will all the inputs and after a few years we will be no better off. Then we will need even higher prices to profit. Kind of a catch 22. Believe me, I would love to see a $4 number after basis. What I was getting at is inputs need to come down to a reasonable level but that will never happen with high prices. My main point was this is the one month that a guy doesn't want higher prices until the insurance price is set.
