Mosty dryland guys here will be the same.. Dryland producers in Kansas are a "raise it first.. THEN sell it.."  because we see enough busts.. in yields that can be totally unforgiving.  BTDT.

I doubt that exporters have enough coverage on for the sales on the books..

The Sugar Cane aphid sure put a scare in guys.. $30 to $40 a pop per application.. some already did 2 apps..  Dryland corn don't look so bad after that.. especially with the better weed control.. and now the better price.  Plus if you have the moisture you could turn the corn back around to wheat.. IF you have the moisture...

If your raising 50 bu dryland corn.. and your not pulling at least 80 bu dryland sorghum.. hmm.. gonna be a tough call next year on which you do.
