live in Spfd, farm located NW Macoupin county
You are better off single and happy than married and miserable which is where you would be if you left your farm. You cannot make her happy if you are not happy with yourself. I am not saying that you should not make some changes to yourself to make a compromise for her if she was truly the one but to completely change "your base core" ( as in leaving the farm) would only make you miserable. That would soon reflect in your attitude towards her and then it could get ugly and expensive.

Once you leave that farm it gets very difficult to get back to it. Been there and done that/doing that.

Relocating farms can be difficult as well. Not only the lost contact of family and friends, that loss of someone to call when you need a little help (truck stuck, sorting cows, moving equipment, etc), setting up new suppliers, new markets, new operating procedures and growing conditions, etc can all take its toll that could set you back financially & mentally. And that is contingent on finding a "new" farm to get on.

The right girl for you will come along in time. Until then, enjoy your time with family, friends and relatives. Get active in organizations that support the things you do. Spread your personal contacts base. You never know when you might meet the friend of a friend who knows someone else that may make a connection/introduction someday. And it might just be in the next county or town.
