East central South Dakota | How much of this rally will be eaten up in basis? Beans at the processor are horrible basis as far out as they bid. Corn isn't far behind. We are in a good crop area, with ample storage and plenty of options depending on how long a guy wants to sit in a truck. Do you set futures on a rally and hope the basis works in your favor? I know guys will start to need cash but I don't know many willing to sell into a -.72 Jan basis bid at the e-plant. |
